GREETER TEAM

Role responsibilities

8:30 a.m. until the music starts in service · Sunday mornings

Before guests arrive

  • Pick up a radio in the office and give Dan Campbell a radio in the sanctuary.
  • At 8:30 a.m., unlock the two main sanctuary hallway entrance doors and keep the gym doors locked.
  • Find out who is on security that week, then check that all radios are on the same channel and working together.
  • Turn on the foyer speakers using the knob in the nursery.
  • Make sure the TV in the gym is playing the service.

Welcome and coverage

  • Station one greeter at each of the two main sanctuary hallway entrances. All incoming traffic should use these entrances.
  • Walk around the building and outside every once in a while.
  • Give welcome packets to guests. If packets run out, put together more in the office.
  • Introduce guests to Stephan. If you cannot introduce them, find him and tell him so he can seek them out. Introducing guests to others is also helpful.
  • Keep sanctuary doors closed during worship practice.

Sunday morning timing

  • 10:00 a.m. — Ring the buzzer.
  • 10:30 a.m. — Open the sanctuary doors and ring the buzzer.
  • 10:45 a.m. — Ring the buzzer and close the sanctuary doors.
